Associations, Federations and Special Interest Groups

Aware of the importance of international cooperation for the advancement of science, INSTICC works closely together with several other national and international associations and is proud to welcome them as partners in its activities or to arrange initiatives in cooperation with them.

While several forms of partnership are welcome, INSTICC places special value in "Technical Co-Sponsorships", by means of which both associations support each other from a scientific perspective for their mutual benefit. Additionally, in this case, members of partner organizations benefit from the same registration conditions as INSTICC members.

Current Institutional Partners:

Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication

INSTICC is the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication, a scientific, non-profit, association whose main goals are to serve the international scientific community by promoting, developing and disseminating knowledge in the areas of information systems and technologies, control and communication. It has organized hundreds of successful scientific conferences across the world since 2003, in collaboration with the main international institutions in its areas of interest.

International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing

ISPRS, www.isprs.org, is an international non-governmental organization that promotes international cooperation between the worldwide organizations with interests in the photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences. Established in 1910, ISPRS is the oldest international umbrella organization in its field, which may be summarized as addressing "information from imagery".
ISPRS achieves its aims by:
- Advancing knowledge in the areas of interest of ISPRS by encouraging and facilitating research and development, scientific networking and inter-disciplinary activities
- Facilitating education and training with particular emphasis in less developed countries
- Promoting public recognition of the contributions of the photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences for the benefit of humankind and the sustainability of the environment
The ISPRS scientific and technical programs are organized by eight Technical Commissions. Each Commission is sponsored by an ISPRS Member organization for the four-year period between Congresses. The eight Technical Commissions have established more than 60 Working Groups which are responsible for particular topics within the Commissions' areas of responsibility. All Technical Commissions hold a Symposium within their country in 2014. Smaller workshops will be organized by the Working Groups before the 2016 Congress in Prague.
